Genetec SV-16v3: the next generation of network security

International. The new SV-16v3 network security device is the company's latest addition to its SC range that, in addition to increased processing speed and flexibility, offers connectivity to Genetec's cloud file service for storing video.

Defined as genetec's new generation network security appliance, the SV-16v3 security system has been officially presented on the market at the ASIS 2015 event, recently held in the Californian town of Anaheim (United States).

SV-16v3 has an Intel Core i3 processor to provide greater speed and flexibility, as well as connectivity to the Genetec file service in the cloud to store extended video, thus reducing the investment in this regard.

This NVR has the capacity to support sixteen video cameras and an equal number of readers, thanks to the pre-installed SV control panel, which also ensures a simple set-up and configuration for a rapid deployment of the video surveillance system and access control in small and medium installations.

Genetec SV-16v3Available on the market before the end of 2015, SV-16v3 provides real-time notifications, alarm management and video display thanks to the company's web client support and mobile security center. In addition, an automatic update tool ensures that the latest software versions are installed as soon as the system is configured.

For Jimmy Palatsoukas, product marketing manager at Genetec, "SV-16v3 is one of the most versatile turnkey network security devices for small and medium-sized companies, such as retailers, bank branches, etc. that is completed with a complete version of the security center to offer maximum performance to any end user."
