Tyco Security Products launches the C CURE Building Management System in the Latin American market

Latin America. Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, announces the C•CURE Building Management System (BMS), a complete building management system that in combination with C•CURE 9000 allows real-time situations to be visualized and building management functions to be executed. This integration is only available at the moment for the Latin American market.

C•CURE BMS is an open platform that monitors and controls building automation systems (BAS) such as security, access control, fire detection and extinguishing, elevator and escalator management, electrical distribution and comfort systems such as heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) systems  , lighting, blinds and air quality. When this solution is used in combination with C • CURE 9000, building managers can monitor and control all technologies in a building or campus from a single workstation or online for those employees whose work requires mobility.

The C•CURE Building Management System allows you to dynamically filter, search and classify alarms using custom attributes such as the current status and level of alarms. Masking functions prevent operators from being overwhelmed by multiple alarms. Its Advanced Configuration Environment (ACE) simplifies configuration, providing an extensive library of graphic icons for BMS, with more than 7,000 images and 1,300 symbols. It also offers an integrated component for Geographic Information Systems that allows you to overlay live data with geographic maps.

"When used with C•CURE 9000, C•CURE BMS offers more features  to provide building managers with an integrated tool that allows them to efficiently manage their buildings," said Luis Carlos DelCampo, product marketing manager for the Latin American access control line at Tyco Security Products. "For example, a building manager can leverage system functions to conduct an energy efficiency analysis, monitor site equipment history to ensure compliance with regulations, or diagnose problems."

The synergy between C•CURE 9000 and  C•CURE BMS makes it possible to take advantage of smart building functions. For example, if the fire alarm panel goes into an alarm state, the system can be programmed to turn on the lights, turn off the ventilation, send elevators to a specific location, and unlock all emergency and safety doors, in accordance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Standard 72.

C•CURE BMS can also be integrated into smart grids, which means that when a building is connected to the smart distribution grid, C•CURE BMS can provide all the data needed for energy production and consumption, making smart decisions to optimize the interaction of buildings with the distribution network. C • CURE BMS is a scalable solution that can be used remotely, on single-operator workstations, in large applications, with multiple distributed sites, or in multi-station applications.
