Latin America now has access to Milestone's Husky series

Latin America. Milestone Systems announced that the Husky series of network video recorders (NVRs) is now available in Latin America. Husky NVRs come pre-installed with Milestone's XProtect VMS.

Milestone's Husky NVR series is already on the U.S., Canadian and European markets. Due to the high demand that the series has had, a phased launch plan was put into action. The full line of models is now available throughout the Americas. In the coming months there will be a series of demonstrations at different events in Latin America.

If only the external appearance is analyzed, Milestone's Husky series NVRs differ from other options available on the market. Husky devices are sleek and sophisticated. Their design allows them to fit into any space, even a small shelf in a retail store. The equipment (of industrial quality), are a guarantee of reliability and durability and work perfectly with Milestone's video management software. Still, it's the flexibility of Milestone's Husky series that makes these solutions stand out from the rest.

"We have redefined the concept of NVRs, providing our customers with integrated surveillance solutions that are customizable and scalable," says Lars Nordenlund, vice president of Milestone Systems' Incubation and Ventures center. "Milestone's Husky has had a very favorable response in the market because the series allows customizing a solution to meet the needs of specific businesses, from a single-site florist to multi-site facilities. Milestone's Husky offers simple solutions with more than 50 pre-configured options."

Milestone's Husky Series is available in three models designed to meet different video requirements:

  • The Milestone Husky M10 is a sleek, compact, fanless device ideal for a basic surveillance system and for facilities that do not have enough space to locate conventional IT equipment. This model supports up to 8 cameras.
  • The Milestone Husky M30 is designed for workstations with comprehensive surveillance needs. The customizable and scalable model supports up to 20 cameras. The M30 has a hybrid option that offers a combination of analog cameras and IP cameras.
  • The Milestone Husky M50 is a rackmount solution with great functionality and unlimited options, perfect for advanced installations with complex security needs. Supports up to 80 cameras. The M50 has a hybrid option that offers a combination of analog cameras and IP cameras.

Milestone Husky equipment comes ready to use, thanks to an automatic device detection tool with wizards for the configuration of the entire system. Device license keys are pre-activated.

Milestone customers aren't the only ones benefiting from Husky Series solutions. "I believe that Milestone's Husky series also provides a great opportunity for Milestone partners, as these devices allow them to focus all their attention on the business needs of their customers, without having to worry about the technology of the solutions," said Manuel C. Nylén, sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Milestone Systems.
