International. Milestone Systems will present this fall, at various trade shows, the new XProtect® 2014 access control module, a complementary product that allows you to easily integrate third-party access control systems with Milestone video surveillance solutions.
Milestone's XProtect access control module offers a novel and more efficient way to operate access control and video surveillance systems through a unified interface, the XProtect® Smart Client. The ability to connect video to access events greatly improves the speed and efficiency of investigations and incident responses.
Unified ease of use
By enabling the execution of key and most widely used access control functions as an integral part of the XProtect Smart Client interface, users of the XProtect 2014 access control module do not have to work with distinct and independent systems. This makes it possible to integrate different access control systems within the same XProtect installation of the client.
The XProtect Smart Client offers a consolidated interface for operating integrated access control systems with specialized functions such as:
- Efficiently monitor access events
- Manually support entry authorizations
- Conduct research on specific access points or cardholders
- Easily export video evidence
- Generate reports
The expansion of the integration features of the 2014 Milestone Integration Platform Software Development Kit (MIP SDK) is the factor that makes easy and flexible integration between third-party access control systems and Milestone's video management solutions possible.
