Latin America. HID Global announced the addition of a basic model to its Fargo® Direct-to-Card (DTC®) line of printers, which provides an easy-to-use, self-installing, more economical solution for printing credentials with low issuance costs per card.
The new FARGO C50 printer is ideal for small and medium-sized businesses, retail organizations and educational institutions that want to eliminate the long wait times, shipping costs and lack of flexibility associated with outsourcing the credential issuance service with a service company.

The compact FARGO C50 printer was designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind. It offers features such as the all-in-one tape cartridge and card cleaning roller, which is easy to replace and reload when needed. The printer also features Workbench™, HID Global's highly intuitive diagnostic tool that automatically monitors printer status, provides instant information about system condition, and lets users know when routine maintenance needs to be performed.
Built-in Swift ID™ software for credential design makes it easy to create custom IDs. The printer is also interoperable with HID Global's Asure ID® card personalization software, to take advantage of additional design, database management and card coding features with technology. In addition, the C50 printer can be used with the company's EasyLobby® visitor management software, which allows users to create and issue secure visitor IDs.
The FARGO C50 printer is fully interoperable with other products in the Genuine HID ecosystem, enabling organizations to capitalize on their technology investments. It also has online and telephone technical support, as well as a two-year warranty.
