Phishing is now targeting company executives and even managers; this specialization derives in the name spear phishing, in which a notice is sent to a department pretending to be an audit entity, or whaleing, personalized phishing, aimed at capturing large funds using the manager of the companies. Similarly, phreaking (intrusion into the telephone network to make long-distance calls) and vishing (phishing, but in VoIP networks) increased by 100% in 2007, and a further increase of 50% is expected this year. Another threat is Internet-connected phones, which can receive infected files, and the risk of traditional phone system collapse from IP network attacks. The crime is offered as a service, with fees of up to a thousand euros for a Trojan virus to steal credit card numbers.
