International. Engineer José Alberto de Lucas takes on the challenge of supporting Alai Secure and contributing to the development of new customised products in the six countries in which the company is present.
De Lucas is a Telecommunications Engineer, has a postgraduate degree in Technology Management and ICT Business Management, and has 27 years of experience in the telco sector, the last 25 years at Orange Spain. He has led multidisciplinary teams and has experience in Design thinking, Lean Startup and Agile techniques.
The engineer assures that "the key to the company's success this year is to enhance the customization of our products, adapting to each of the markets reached by Alai's footprint, and to focus on those market segments, with a strong demand for M2M connectivity, where the company stands out for its unique value proposition and its ability to differentiate itself from the competition."
In terms of technological trends, Lucas highlights, among others, Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, IoT as a Service and Robots as a Service. "AI will undoubtedly have a great impact on our sector, mainly focused on network optimization, process automation, early detection of failures and resolution of incidents, and improving the customer experience, creating new capabilities and services that were unthinkable a few years ago."
"Efficiently resolving interoperability with other IoT communications technologies, in increasingly innovative and complex projects, and the need to standardize devices that allow us to guarantee the availability of the service, are perhaps two of the most important challenges that our sector must face, for this we will have to establish alliances and strategic agreements," Manifest.
Among the plans that the executive hopes to develop in the company are "to consolidate the markets and market niches initiated, launch new products and services and make Alai the leading company, in each of the countries in which we are present, within the IoT sector".
