International. Snap One, now part of ADI, announced today that it now distributes ProdataKey hardware and software solutions (PDKs), marking its first entry into the access control space.
PDK is the first third-party brand to move from ADI to Snap One and represents one of the first benefits of the two companies coming together to offer more products and more brands, as well as helping partners discover new revenue opportunities.
According to Snap One's Senior Director Clint Choate, PDK's cloud-based access control systems can be used to address a variety of security challenges and offer robust integration capabilities with other brands that Snap One offers.
"Physical access control has become increasingly important in today's security landscape, as organizations recognize their role in protecting physical and digital assets by controlling who can access specific areas. PDK's access control solutions now enable Snap One partners to enhance security and peace of mind in commercial locations, high-end residences, gated communities, and more," said Choate. "PDK's access devices can help strengthen on-site security while simplifying worker and user access to controlled spaces, which can be enhanced by integrating with Snap One's existing Digital Watchdog offerings."
With PDK's plug-and-play ecosystem, homeowners get easy-to-use tools to manage access, set schedules for scheduled access, and more. System owners and administrators can easily manage access from anywhere, at any time using PDK's cloud-based tools, regardless of company size or number of users. The cloud-based design also simplifies maintenance and upkeep by limiting on-site hardware and providing automatic updates and upgrades as they are released.
PDK's cloud-based access control system allows integrators and owners to scale the system based on their unique needs, leveraging a variety of products and solutions including wired and wireless door controllers, key card readers, key fob readers, and intuitive software to help manage user access and analyze room usage. The variety of credential options means that every business owner or system administrator can choose to use Bluetooth, mobile push buttons, wearable credentials or high-security key fobs and key cards to authenticate access permissions.
"We are excited to add PDK products to our portfolio and help our partners expand into access control and build integrated, comprehensive and scalable security systems," said Choate. "As a combined business, Snap One and ADI are committed to working together to deliver even greater value to partners by offering more products and shopping convenience, more local support and expertise, and more investment in innovation. We look forward to adding more brands to continue expanding our comprehensive offering."
