Key Trends
The company's leaders unveiled what they consider to be the main emerging trends in the industry, such as:
- Shift to AI, specifically an industry-wide investment in technologies with AI capabilities for advanced threat detection and response.
- Move to service models and a greater focus on seamless user experiences, e.g., mobile solutions and agile, flexible operations. Customers are looking for support to manage security operations that address staffing shortages with automation, enhanced training, and growth programs.
- Renewed focus on digitalization and sustainability. Safety products can help achieve such goals, prioritize budgets for optimal operational efficiency, create productive environments that engage employees and keep occupants and assets safe.
- A shift in the user base from operations to business/security management. Data is now viewed across multiple levels, showing the need and importance of software modernization.
- An intersection of access control and video so customers can develop a strategy for a more consistent and comprehensive approach to security.
"It's critical that this industry provides greater insights that not only help drive safety, but also improve business operations and empower our customers' business success," concluded Faisal Pandit, Vice President and General Manager of Global Security Products at Johnson Controls.
