Mexico. The company Dahua Mexico held the grand finale of its new contest, in which participants measure their skills for the integration of security solutions.
In total, eight finalists gathered at the Barceló Mexico Hotel to demonstrate their technical capabilities by integrating an IP camera system and an alarm kit in the shortest possible time.

- Gustavo Sosa from TI Shop (Mérida).
- Salvador Carrillo from SCR – Security and Communications (Guadalajara).
The organisers reported that the evaluation criterion included seven technical aspects, as well as accuracy during assembly, cleaning, organisation and time spent.
The Winner
With a record time of 48 minutes, Humberto Velasco of the Oaxaca-based company Humvel Computers became the first Dahua Legend, obtaining among other things a prize of approximately US $2,900.
"I was very nervous, because some challenges arose during the implementation, but that's part of our job, to solve any complications until we get the solutions to work properly. We came from afar, we managed to win in the knockout stage and now in the Grand Final. Becoming the first Dahua Legend fills me with pride," said Humberto Velasco of Humvel Computers.
"I am very excited to have been the winner of this first edition. It was a very tough competition, because all the contestants have great skills; We also had the pressure of time and the judges who were checking our work all the time," he added.
For his part, Camilo Muñoz, commercial director at Dahua Technology Mexico, said that with this event the company has marked a milestone in the history of the electronic security market in Mexico in terms of the way knowledge is transmitted.
"I'm very excited, it was an extraordinary and fun event. We were able to see great contestants, the best in their region, test all their skills and knowledge to solve each challenge, but in a playful and fun way, something that had never been seen in this industry," said the executive.
"Today we are all making history together, participating in a spectacular and disruptive event. Undoubtedly, it is a great moment for the entire Dahua Mexico team and this drives us to continue working so that everything related to Dahua becomes a great experience," added the Commercial Director.
Dahua Legends emerged as an initiative to promote training and healthy competition among electronic security specialists in the country, in addition to strengthening the link between the brand and its distributors.
"We are always looking to create the best experiences for our friends and business partners. We hope to be able to launch the second edition of Dahua Legends at the end of 2024 or in 2025," said Abril Lanzagorta, Marketing Manager of Dahua Technology Mexico.
