Latin America. Cybersecurity protection provider, SonicWall, announced the appointment of Juan Alejandro Aguirre as Director of Engineering Solutions for Latin America.
Aguirre will lead the team of engineers in charge of the cybersecurity strategy, as a service for distribution channels and end customers. According to the company, his goal will be to strengthen the team and boost its impact in the market.
The Colombian executive, who resides in Miami, is an Electronic Engineer graduated from the Francisco José de Caldas District University and a specialist in Information Technology Management from the Externado de Colombia University. In addition, he is a specialist in Business Intelligence and Digital Transformation and also holds an MBA from the International University of La Rioja, in Spain.
"My main challenge is to convey SonicWall's Cybersecurity as a Service (CSaaS) vision to our partners and distributors, in order to reach more end customers. And in the current ones, to extend our portfolio with cross-selling or upselling", said Aguirre.
With more than 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, Aguirre began his professional career in cybersecurity channels with a presence in several countries, occupying different roles in the engineering area and supporting clients, especially in the financial sector.
"As a cybersecurity professional, I consider the support we can provide from the engineering area to be of vital importance to achieve business goals, exceeding the expectation of growth and solving the client's needs appropriately.
