José María Blanco, director of Prosegur Research, stresses the need to adapt to a volatile landscape, after announcing the redefinition of global trends for the near future: "At a time of volatility and constant change, it is essential that we adapt our perspectives to better understand 
the world around us," he said.
The conclusions of the report 'Rethinking the World in 2023' show a strong irruption of technological development, where generative artificial intelligence, the metaverse and quantum computing occupy more and more spheres in the business field.
In turn, health and sustainability converge in an individual-centered approach and ecosystem well-being. In total there are five redefined keys that will determine the future.
Fuzzy power
Volatility, geopolitical rivalries, misinformation, reconfiguration of supply chains and the weakening of institutions are factors that have created a scenario where power is constantly reconfigured.
Stakeholder economy
The pandemic and new international conflicts are causing an atomization of collectives and a search for self-sufficiency that are redefining markets and economic sectors.
Individual and collective empowerment
Empowerment is generating new demands towards political and business actors, promoting citizen participation and generating changes in the public sphere.
Technological Convergence
Transformations in big tech, the rise of AI and new cybercrime challenges mark innovation and development at a global level.
Environment, sustainability and health
These terms are blurred, since sustainability is not understood without putting health and people as protagonists.
