Dominican Republic. Acceleration 2023 was the name given to the first edition of the Hillstone Networks LATAM Partner Summit, an event that took place in Punta Cana from May 22 to 24 in which around 45 organizations from the cybersecurity sector in Latin America met.

The event was attended by integrators, distributors and MSSPs from countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala, mainly.

The first conference of the event was given by David Holmes, analyst at Forrester, who shared with the attendees, the main cybersecurity trends, the market size of cyberattacks and the best strategies to combat them.

Then, in his keynote speech, Tim Liu, CTO and Co-founder of Hillstone Networks, unveiled an innovative integrative cybersecurity proposal that involves the 3 C's: Complete coverage, which considers all areas involved in a network environment; Control, to establish an adaptive and layered defense strategy; and Consolidation, to reduce the complexity and management costs involved in using various types of security solutions and vendors. All this with the aim of allowing companies to be cyber resilient and help them maintain business continuity.
