International. Milestone Systems is commemorating 25 years of commercial operation, during which time its technology has been deployed in more than 500,000 installations through a network of distributors and resellers.
The company shared that its beginning, a quarter of a century ago, started from the vision of boosting the video technology industry. "Today, we are proud of our legacy and the great strides we have made to help improve our daily lives."
Of their growth over time, Milestone comments that it has been a journey in which they have traveled "through the growth of IP and the open platform to become a driving force in responsible and data-driven technology, within and beyond security. But ultimately, it's about people and associations. Whether it's our colleagues, partners, end users or neighbors, giving people the vision to create a better life remains at the core of what we do. We make the world see."
Thomas Jensen, CEO of Milestone, mentioned in a video posted on February 23, on the brand's networks: "Today is the 25th anniversary of Milestone Systems, when we started in 1998 we were just 6 people, now we are more than 1,300 and counting, and if we add our allies we are more than tens of thousands of people around the world. In other words, we are a great international team."

Among the most important moments of the company we want to highlight that in 1999 it launched its first VMS. For 2002 the brand launched the Milestone XProtect a new VMS with the concept of open platform. Just 3 years later, in 2005, the company took another leap by introducing its first software development kit (SDK) "that ushered in a new era of third-party innovations."
In 2009 Milestone included the first human rights clause in its end user license agreement. In 2017, the company co-authored the Copenhagen Charter, "in which it promised to raise the bar as a responsible technology company" and, by 2023, launched its VMS in the cloud.
