Genetec Elevate'22: two events to reflect beyond safety

Genetec Elevate’22

Mexico. During the first days of November Genetec brought together two events under a single purpose, to go beyond security. The Genetec Elevate'22 End User Summit and the Genetec Elevate'22 Channel Summit, spaces that convened leaders, integrators, end customers and channels from all over Latin America.

These events, which took place in Tolum, were distributed by dates. From 6 to 9 November the End User Summit and, from 9 to 11 November, the Channel Summit. Overall, more than 250 security professionals from 21 countries gathered, including end customers from verticals such as government, airports, ports, retail, banking, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, as well as security integrators and technology partners.

Denis Côté, vice president of Genetec for Latin America, commented in front of these meetings: "In security issues, without a doubt, the nature of threats and technology are constantly changing; This dynamic requires security professionals to keep up with the latest trends and leverage changes as unique business opportunities. With Elevate events, our goal at Genetec is to provide knowledge, exchange best practices, experiences and continuously develop technologies to meet today's needs and meet the challenges of the future."

It is relevant to highlight that the agenda was oriented to how commercial results beyond security; the transformation of security and how e-security professionals can be at the forefront of digital transformation; cybercrime answering the question Are you ready or are you the next victim?; and, finally, the expansion of the scope of security through unification.

In the same way, round tables were held by verticals and regions, as well as presentations by special guests such as Edwin Muñóz of the ESU – Company for Urban Security of Medellín; Guillermo Hassey, from Daimler Truck in Mexico; and Scott Augenbaum, former FBI agent.

Genetec Elevate’22 más allá de la seguridad

The conclusion given by Denis Côté regarding the results of the day, but above all the current context, is that "we are living in a unique era of radical change, where electronic security is adding value beyond security, optimizing the operations of organizations, and providing intelligence to business. Now is the time to jump on the digital transformation bandwagon or stay down."
