Wolpac opens its new office in Colombia

altColombia. Continuing with its expansion plan, the Brazilian company Wolpac inaugurates its new office in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.

Founded in 1965, Wolpac began its activities in the Brazilian market and today is consolidated as a global company and one of the most recognized brands in the access control market.

With a know-how of almost 50 years and constant investments in technology, the company has provided access control equipment to more than 20 countries around the world, including: Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela, South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Nigeria, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Belgium and France.

Currently, the Wolpac Group has about 370 employees and has an industrial estate of 8,800 m2, being 4,900 m2 of built area, which allows a productive capacity of approximately 15,000 equipment per year. Its portfolio includes cabinet turnstiles, pedestal turnstiles, glass-locking security fences, steel and glass turnstiles, platform doors, gates, access control for people with reduced capacity and 3D people count sensors.

Within the Brazilian market, Wolpac has about 65% of participation in the transport segment (Train, Metro, Light Rail, Monorail, BRT and Bus) and 35% of participation in the security segment (Commercial Buildings, Companies, Institutes of Education, Hospitals, Clubs/Academies and Government Bodies, among others).

Its client portfolio includes large Brazilian and multinational corporations, such as: Unilever, Siemens, IBM, Volvo, Volkswagen, Hospital Sírio Libanês, Construtora Cyrela, Banco Itaú, Scania, Marcopolo, Nestlé, AmBev, Ericsson, Rede Globo de Televisão or DuPont, among others.

Wolpac is also responsible for providing nearly 680 turnstiles for 6 of the 12 stadiums of the 2014 World Cup. Among the projects executed outside Brazil, the supply of equipment for the Transport Systems of the cities of Cali and Manizales in Colombia, Quito and Cuenca in Ecuador, Santiago in Chile and Mexico City in Mexico stands out. For the Colombian capital alone, more than 9,000 turnstiles were provided, benefiting thousands of users of local public transport.

Wolpac Colombia will have its own stock of spare parts and will make available a specialized team, trained in Brazil, which will provide all the technical support for the installation, maintenance and training of customers and partners, allowing a closer, agile and efficient service, not only for the Colombian market, but also for all other countries in Latin America, reinforcing the importance of this market for the company's future plans.
