Brazil. The Latin American Security Association, ALAS, after officially launching its Brazil chapter last December, now makes an active presence in this important Latin American country having activities in one of the most important fairs in this country (Exposec 2014) and, at the same time, providing training and support to Brazilian professionals through its local chapter.
Precisely one of the objectives of the Brazil chapter is to have all the contacts, training initiatives and networking that ALAS advances in the rest of the Latin American region and at the same time allows Brazilian companies to arrive with a better knowledge of the needs and alternatives already enjoyed by other countries in which the association has a presence. Similarly, WINGS Brazil will be of great help to foreign companies that want to do business with Brazil.
Precisely in this dynamic and initiative that characterizes the Association, the Brazil chapter did not want to miss the 17th Exposec, which was held a few days ago at the Immigrant Exhibition Center, in Sao Paulo, with the presence of more than 6,000 visitors from companies and professionals in the sector as security agents, buyers, consultants, installers, distributors, managers, engineers and supervisors.
Marcos Antonio de Sousa, training director of ALAS Brazil, who was in charge of the first training event advanced by the chapter of the association in this country, stressed the importance of having activities that allow to bring knowledge to the members of the industry and, in the same way, contribute to the professionalization and better performance of it.
Marcos said that in this first ALAS course in Brazil it was decided to promote the so-called "Control Room Operator", taught by José Vicente Calderón, a course that has been successfully advanced by ALAS International Monitoring for a long time.
It is worth noting, as expressed by the training director of ALAS Brazil, that the objectives of the course is for participants to know how the control rooms work, and to know about the different technology systems available to work: CCTV, access control, fire detection and extinction, perimeter protection, communications and means of mass evacuation.
"We are convinced that these safe tools will provide Brazilian professionals with the necessary tools so that in their role as operators of these centers they adequately coordinate their security facilities," said Marcos Antonio de Sousa.
Similarly, De Sousa explained that in Brazil there is a large deficit in terms of training members of the electronic security industry, since the existing associations in the country had not been fulfilling this task, so from ALAS Brazil a special task was undertaken, to fill this training gap without giving more waiting, and especially with courses such as those that ALAS International has been advancing for a long time and that have recognition throughout Latin America.
In summary, the training director of ALAS Brazil said then that the association will advance in the country a large number of certified trainings with the participation of important professionals in the region and with the support of the local chapter and ALAS International, which is more than a garment of quality assurance. Before the end of 2014 ek chapter ALAS Brazil expects to have at least three more courses.
