Latin America. Intelligent Security Systems, manufacturers of video analytics software and image management systems, announce the development of an exclusive integration for Axis Communications cameras that allows to be part of the image processing for patent recognition in the camera itself.
By delegating this function to cameras that have high internal processing capacity, it is possible to reduce the demand on the servers and in some cases double the number of computers connected to a server, generating positive impacts on the costs of the project.
Integration is available in Axis Communications products including the Artpec-4 Chip: P13 series, Q16 and AXIS M3006–V Network Cameras, AXIS M3007-P/-PV, AXIS P3353, AXIS P3354, AXIS P3363-V/-VE, AXIS P3364-V/-LV, AXIS P3364-VE/-LVE and AXIS P3384-V/-VE.
Aluisio Figueiredo, Chief Operating Officer of ISS mentions, "we have developed this exclusive integration for Axis cameras because their internal processing technology is mature and advanced, which gives us a high degree of assertiveness in patent reading and data analysis."
Current users of ISS's SecurOS software will be able to update it independently through an email request to the company's sales representative in each country, to enjoy the qualities offered by this integration.
"From now on users will be able to save bandwidth because they will not have to transmit the complete video stream since part of the processing is given in the camera, in addition to protecting the images in case of losing connection to the network," says Andrei Junqueira, business development manager for South America.
