Mexico. In order to strengthen security in schools, the Government of the State of Querétaro announced the installation, in these spaces, of new video surveillance cameras.
The general coordinator of the Unit of Services for Basic Education in the State of Querétaro (USEBEQ), Raúl Iturralde Olvera, met with the municipal president of Querétaro, Luis Nava, where they agreed to intensify surveillance in public schools of basic education, in order to avoid damage and looting during the holiday period.
The purpose of the strategy is to safeguard and preserve in good condition the infrastructure of the schools in the state capital where basic education is provided to children and adolescents.

Iturralde also assured that this project contemplates that all the campuses have perimeter fencing or rehabilitation of the same. The Government will carry out a census to know how many public schools require the correct perimeter fencing and how many a rehabilitation, and thus, be able to define the amount of investment that is required along with the purchase of video surveillance cameras.
