Latin America. New features and features presented by Milestone Systems in its latest update of the XProtect 2022 R2 video management software, which highlights the possibility of managing and monitoring incidents at the click of a button and the improvement of license plate recognition with the inclusion of style recognition.
The AWS Marketplace version of XProtect Essential+ will be available starting July 5.
XProtect Incident Manager
The new XProtect Incident Manager allows users to capture any live stream with a single click. At the end of the incident, users can stop the capture and start recording the details of the incident. Incident types are fully configurable, so users can define the types and details of incidents for reporting. Configuration options include, but are not limited to, free text, drop-down lists, and date and time fields. Previously recorded sequences can also be added to an incident to make the evidence more robust.
Milestone XProtect Essential+ on AWS
With the new release of Milestone XProtect 2022 R2, the Essential+ version of XProtect will replace the previous version on AWS Marketplace. Users will now be able to have all XProtect 2022 R2 product variants on AWS for optimal streaming and storage. Version 2022 R2 will be added to the previous version on AWS Marketplace starting July 5.
Enhanced License Plate Recognition (LPR)
The XProtect 2022 R2 update features advanced vehicle license plate styling recognition. Different countries have different types and formats of plates for different types of vehicles. The updated license plate recognition feature allows users to more efficiently recognize, classify and group license plate types by analyzing motor vehicles. Depending on the country's license plate style, users will be able to distinguish between trucks, private cars, limousines, trucks, buses, or even police patrols. Also, some countries have different plates for electric or gas cars that can now be easily identified.
