IDTECK technology on Balkan motorways
Croatia. In the toll barriers of a motorway of this European nation, two electronic card readers, SR20RW, 13.56 MHz (MIFARE), are installed, provided by IDTECK to ECSAT, a specialist in the development of toll systems that allow or restrict the passage as the case may be.
One of these readers is located at the top to control the passage of heavy-duty vehicles, while at the bottom was located one of these devices for the passage of cars in general. When the driver swipes his card, the readers determine the length of the trip, the price to be applied, check the status of the account and deduct the toll value of it and open the barrier. This system will be extended by ECSAT to other Croatian tolls.
