Category Public Projects
In this category the winner was the "Safe Stadium" solution for attendees at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellin, Colombia. The project arose as a response to the security problems caused by the popular bars of the city's football teams and by improper behavior in this type of scenario.
The solution proposed by ROBOTEC Colombia integrates a robust CCTV system with high-resolution cameras and a biometric recognition system, which together allow monitoring, control and follow-up of people in all spaces of the stadium, reducing situations of risk and improper behavior, as well as allowing the creation of blacklists, the generation of alarms and the scaling of information to control bodies.
The project "Safe City, Big Brother - Guatemala City" developed by Intelligent Security Systems (ISS), Samsung and Tigo Guatemala, ranked second in the category of public projects, while the project of the Control and Special Operations Center of the city of Praia Grande in Brazil, presented by Digifort, ranked third.
Category Private Projects
The first place in the category of private projects was occupied by America Free Zone (AFZ), a corporate center under a free zone regime, located in the province of Heredia, in Costa Rica. The center began operations in 1999 and its growing list of tenants is made up mostly of multinational companies, which are characterized by rigorous requirements in all areas, especially in the management of security.
To meet the expectations of its tenants, AFZ carried out a complete security project in which they included intrusion systems, theft, perimeter protection; CCTV CCTV systems, cameras, recorders, management software, video analytics applications; access control systems, including readers, windlasses, biometrics; fire detection and protection systems and evacuation audio; Integrated security systems and advanced technological alternatives in security systems.
