United States. ISC West, held in Las Vegas, recorded the attendance of nearly 20,000 professionals from the public safety and total security industry, just under 12,000 distributors, installers, integrators, end users and assistant consultants.
The event, which took place from March 22 to 24 and has the collaboration of SIA, reported a growth variation of 88% for the total attendance prior to last year's show held in July.
Offering the opportunity to meet with more than 550 exhibitors and brands, learn from more than 65 SIA sessions Education@ISC, and network at more than two dozen special events, ISC West proved to be a successful event in which the industry greatly supported the need to be back in person at industry trade events.
"It really was amazing to see all of our attendees, exhibitors and partners in person again! Clearly, the security and public safety industry is ready to return to face-to-face meetings, as the Show Floor was packed and the electrifying energy consistently included positive messages throughout the week," said Mary Beth Shaughnessy, Director of Events at ISC Security Events.
While the Show Floor vibrated every day with many new components for 2022, including the renewal of SIA's New Products and Solutions (NPS) Awards Program, which showcased more than 70 participating products and solutions; the introduction of The Bridge (Powered by Intel), which featured selected complementary educational sessions focused on industry megatrends; and the reimagined featured area gateways, which modernized the appearance of the show floor: the entire ISC West show experience was continuously elevated through daily sessions of the Keynote series (with Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation, Clark County Department of Aviation; Michael J. Bouchard, sheriff of Oakland County, Michigan, and Jenny Radcliffe, the "hacker of the people"), the extensive SIA program Education@ISC (showing 119% growth in speakers this year), and through a variety of special events hosted by sponsor SIA.

During the fair, Security Sales interviewed some of the participating companies.
For example, many of this year's collaborative events focused on honoring and supporting women in security, attracting new young professionals as the future of the industry, and showcasing vertical market trends such as artificial intelligence, cloud storage, cybersecurity certifications, and more.
"SIA was inspired by the outstanding growth seen at ISC West 2022 and by seeing the energy and dedication on the show floor, in the conference sessions and in the events that took place during the week," said SIA Executive Director Don Erickson. "This year's fair saw exceptional participation in SIA's flagship events, including our Market Leaders Reception, RISE Happy Hour and Women in Safety Forum breakfast and keynote address, and great enthusiasm for SIA's Education@ISC conference program and SIA's training offerings during the show. We were thrilled to help bring the industry together for an exciting opportunity to learn, explore cutting-edge technologies, network and collaborate."
Next up is ISC East 2022, the Northeast's premier public safety and security event, which is organized in collaboration with SIA and in partnership with ASIS NYC and takes place November 16-17 at the Javits Center in New York City.
ISC West 2023, which will continue to be held each spring as the first major public safety and security event of the year, will take place at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from March 28 to March 31 (SIA Education@ISC: March 28-30 | Exhibition hall: 29-31 March).
