Eagle Eye Networks joins Salto to enter the coliving market

Coliving seguridadInternational. Eagle Eye Networks recently confirmed its official partnership to become, together with Salto Systems, a technology partner of Co-Liv, a non-profit group of coliving professionals.

As the global coliving movement continues to gain momentum, Eagle Eye Networks, for video surveillance and Salto, for access control, consider them crucial to providing technological solutions that allow coliving operators to scale faster and more efficiently than they would on their own.

Storing surveillance video data in the cloud has many advantages, especially for residential buildings such as hotels, urban apartments and housing complexes. Traditionally, video surveillance recordings were only accessible if negative events occurred, usually a security breach, such as theft. Therefore, video was rarely used and the high price of the camera and data storage equipment remained only a "cost of the activity", which did not produce any financial return or useful information. Using a cloud solution, video is accessible to integrate with other applications and can deliver powerful insights that enable companies to improve their people, products and processes.

"We are delighted to join the Co-Liv organization as a technology partner alongside Salto. Since the Coliving movement is growing, we want to support it with our video surveillance technology that ensures the safety of residents and provides relevant business information for Coliving operators. As Eagle Eye Networks is fully integrated with Salto's state-of-the-art access control systems, we provide a complete solution for co-living operators," says Rishi Lodhia, Managing Director of Eagle Eye Networks.

By using artificial intelligence to analyze video, operators can also discover how people interact in those spaces and use this knowledge to improve their communities, increase their reputation for being safe and resident-centric, and make spatial design decisions for future developments. Eagle Eye also integrates with other technology solutions, such as Salto's access solutions, so that the entire technological ecosystem of a building can work together to offer the best possible living experience.

Christian Schmitz, from Salto Systems, adds: "We have been partners of the Co-Liv Organization for a long time, as we believe that a seamless access control system helps coliving operators create peace of mind about property safety. The addition of Eagle Eye Networks means we can offer a global security solution without adding complexities with different systems that are not connected to each other."

The advantages for the shared housing sector can best be summed up with a quote from the European shared housing operator BaseCamp: "BaseCamp Student manages seven student accommodation in Denmark, Germany and Poland, and there will be more places soon. We continually strive to build and manage a global community focused on improving the student experience. That's why, when we set out to find a security partner, we looked for one who was willing – and able – to be as creative as our students and our spaces. We found it at Eagle Eye Networks. Their video surveillance solution captures video for security purposes, but because video is stored in the cloud, it opens up unlimited access to valuable artificial intelligence, information that helps us and our residents make better decisions." Daniel Doherr, General Director of Student Operations at BaseCamp.

"As coliving operators around the world continue to experiment with different models of common living, those who are able to use technology to achieve their goals more efficiently will be at a distinct advantage compared to their peers," concludes Connor Moore. "At Co-Liv we believe that technology providers, such as Eagle Eye Networks, can be excellent partners for innovative and tech-savvy coliving companies."
