New update of the Dahua IVSS smart server

Dahua IVSSLatin America. Dahua Technology unveiled the new update of its intelligent server: the Dahua IVSS, which has multiple intelligent algorithms and thanks to its computing power and flexibility, offers integration of multiple algorithms, as well as innovative, efficient and accurate AI functions.

The Dahua IVSS is equipped with general artificial intelligence features that benefit users with optimized monitoring capabilities. In addition to its facial recognition alarm with lock list, VIP recognition, and stranger detection alarm, this series now features high-frequency alarm, a newly added feature that can recognize the frequency of targets in the monitored scene. Dahua IVSS devices also support IVS based on specific objectives (people and vehicles), which filters out irrelevant targets such as leaves, animals, lights, etc. With its updated algorithm, it provides a higher detection accuracy rate and supports new features such as Loitering Detection, Parking Detection, and Crowd Estimation.

The Video Metadata feature of this equipment supports a number of human face and body attributes, as well as for motorized and non-motorized vehicles. In addition to its typical Metadata Search function, the Dahua IVSS can also extract metadata from normal video recordings stored on XVR or NVR devices and subsequently run AI Search to locate targets quickly. Additionally, this enhanced series now offers Video Metadata Linkage that can trigger the alarm when the target's metadata does not meet preset conditions or rules. For example, if the use of a mask is set as a rule, the alarm will be triggered when someone is detected who is not wearing it. Using metadata, the Dahua IVSS can also perform ANPR backend, which is a significant upgrade of the frontend ANPR that cameras typically perform.

In addition to basic AI, Dahua IVSS devices also contain industrial AI functions. Including Intelligent Video Compression that provides greater accuracy and allows to distinguish specific targets in the scene compared to traditional intelligent algorithms.

With a compression ratio of 78%-99%*, this AI feature significantly reduces bandwidth by up to 99%* and relatively reduces upgrade costs. This series can also detect helmet use at a site through its Helmet Detection feature, with an accuracy rate of over 95%*. Its Outdoor Parking Space Detection feature provides an accuracy rate of over 94%*. Other industrial AI functions included are: fire detection, smoke, uniform, garbage and animal overflow. In addition to Dahua's own algorithm, it is also possible to run a third-party algorithm through Dahua's open platform (DHOP), solving more key points for customers.

On the other hand, the strong and scalable computing capacity of the updated Dahua IVSS allows the use of up to 16 artificial intelligence chips. For Data Storage and Security, this series allows access to up to 256 channels, provides storage bandwidth of up to 768 Mbps, and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. Its Decoding capacity is up to 24 channels at 1080P. It offers a maximum of 36 splits in a window, allowing up to 4 HDMI outputs per device with different sources and supports mouse roaming between different scenes.

In addition, the Dahua IVSS allows for easy AI upgrades from older systems and supports ONVIF/RTSP, making it compatible with third-party cameras. By providing AI computing for the VMS via SDK, it also supports integration with third-party VMS.

In addition to its artificial intelligence features, the enhanced Dahua IVSS series also combines video management features with traditional video storage features in a single device, providing increased computing capacity, superior storage, rich applications, and strong decoding capabilities. With its mission to "Enable a safer society and smarter life," Dahua Technology will continue to focus on "Innovation, Quality and Service" to serve its partners and customers around the world.

* Based on a standard test environment (different test environments can produce different accuracy rates).
