Argentina. The municipality of Carmen de Patagones, Buenos Aires, is preparing to innovate in the use of technology for Citizen Security and Alert Management through the tools of the "Safe Municipality" program.
For months, SoftGuard and the municipality have been working together to provide training and diagram innovative public policies through the use of Smart City tools.
This project is led by its Mayor Eng. José Luis Zara and executed under the supervision of the Undersecretary of Security Sandro Pino and the Coordinator of the Monitoring Center, Tamara Albrech as articulators of the selection of personnel for this task.
The "Safe Municipality" program is a set of tools for the management of alerts, citizen security and municipal management, which strengthens the link between the neighbor and those who govern him and make him participate to achieve a collaborative and integrated community in order to improve management, security and assistance to the neighbor covering the different areas such as childhood, gender violence and disability for the elderly, public works, the environment, etc.
In this scenario, the SmartPanics app allows the neighbor to report emergencies to the monitoring center: S.O.S., assistance in case of abuse, ambulance request to receive immediate help, among many other functions.
This tool will also be very useful for women to feel and be safer. SmartPanics is real prevention in the hands of women. By using the alert management system (up to 12 configurable buttons) women can report different types of violence, whether domestic violence, street harassment, domestic violence, workplace violence, and many more.
The "Safe Municipality" program and all its tools such as school corridors, public transport, health corridor, Coronavirus Alert, assistance for older adults, etc., allows municipalities and governments to be given all the options to be able to make their public policies effective, efficient and innovative.
