International. ONVIF announced that Leo Levit is the new president of the Steering Committee of this forum specialized in the standardization of industry products.
Levit serves as Director of Systems Integration at Axis Communications and brings to the role of president a strong technical background and more than a decade of experience in product management, marketing and sales. Levit replaces Per Björkdahl, who leaves the post of president after nine years.
"Over the past decade, ONVIF has worked to facilitate near-universal interoperability of IP physical security devices and clients, allowing end users and system integrators to have freedom of choice in their selection of access control and video surveillance products," Levit said. "I look forward to being part of ONVIF's next evolution as it continues to support our evolving industry and the ever-deepening relationships between analytics, IoT, AI and other technologies."
Prior to his role as Director of Systems Integration, Levit was Global Product Manager of Analytics Solution at Axis. His past experience includes positions at Sony Mobile Communications and Ericsson Mobile Platforms.
