United States. ISC West and the Security Industry Association (SIA) announced new dates for the in-person event in 2021. The event was originally scheduled to take place March 23-26, but after extensive internal and external consultation and monitoring of the ongoing COVID-19 virus pandemic, the roganizers decided to schedule ISC West 2021 July 19-21 at The Venetian Resort and Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
"We are pleased to have a plan to produce ISC West in 2021 and, after a long respite, the ISC and SIA teams look forward to welcoming our customers to Las Vegas to receive a solid education, demonstrations, product announcements, award ceremonies, networking opportunities, special events and more," the statement reads.
The 2021 SIA Education@ISC West program will include our extensive physical security program and converged security content, while adding new key topics. The curriculum will include a new track on health and safety best practices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including case studies and technology solutions that address employee/customer well-being and access control, business continuity, and facility management. In addition, the 2021 event model will also offer a hybrid format, with face-to-face conference pass options and virtual conference passes available, in order to serve the broad ISC community.
"Our public safety and security community, by nature, is very face-to-face, and physical presence and commitment are the foundation of business, solutions and professional diligence. To ensure that ISC West is the safest environment for a live event, our Reed Exhibitions Health and Safety Working Group, along with the team of experts at the Sands Expo site, will ensure that all key health and safety protocols and systems are in place for hygiene and cleanliness, air conditioning and ventilation, physical distancing, PPE, sanitary technology and sanitary services," the statement concludes.
