Mexico. The city of Juárez, in the state of Chihuahua, inaugurated the Emergency and Immediate Response Center (CERI 911) in the presence of the Constitutional Governor of the State, Javier Corral Jurado and the municipal president, Armando Cabada Alvídrez.
Jomtel Telecomunicaciones has been responsible for the renovation, modernization and integration project of the security equipment and monitoring software of the Ceri911 of Cd. Juárez. This renovation makes ceri911 one of the most modern and large control and security centers in Mexico, implementing first-class technology. Ceri911 receives data from the more than 800 cameras installed within the Municipality of Juárez, to combat crime and insecurity on public roads, not only in the preventive stage but in the development of better solutions for the prosecution of crime.
In this project, SoftGuard was chosen to provide the necessary software, which allows to implement the SmartPanics life button, technology that helps citizens report an emergency through 10-second video, photo and audio.
This advanced App technology together with video surveillance will prevent and combat crime and give ceri911 operators a more efficient use for the visualization of the cameras that will be strategically installed in different parts of the city, in total 45 poles were installed -called Intelligent Monitoring Points-, integrated by a PTZ camera 3 fixed cameras and panic button that allows in real time the monitoring of roads.
The equipment implemented leads to a technologically smarter police, including mobile app for police services, Life Button App for the citizen, display of high-resolution cameras, public security platform, parameterization of each module and submodule of the comprehensive monitoring platform according to the processes and procedures established by the agency, with technical and operational training of each of the modules.
To this great renovation is added the SmartPanics Life Button that allows the citizen of Juárez to report an emergency through 10-second video, photo and audio where the CERI has the geographical location of all its units and from the dispatch platform the unit closest to the emergency is assigned to help the person in emergency.
Thanks to the implementation of this technology, the Municipality of Juárez provides greater operability to the public security forces, allowing them to be more efficient in emergency response times and reduce crime rates in the city, and thus The People of Juarez will have better citizen protection.
