Argentina. The municipality of the city of Banda del Río Salí through the Secretariat of Security and the company SoftGuard, present a new protection application for families in the community, which can be used from a smartphone or tablet anywhere the person is.
Through an application, citizens can be directly linked to the municipal monitoring center immediately and 24 hours a day.
The application has BRS alerts that always accompanies the neighbor back home or when he goes to study or work, the user only has to press the "on the way" button to enable a virtual guard that will follow him throughout his journey so his loved ones will know how far he is from home and how long he arrives. Each tool of the application allows the municipality of Banda del Río Salí to interact with its neighbors, who will be able to provide alerts about accidents, disturbances on public roads, suspicious activities, luminaires in a state of damage, gender violence, waste on public roads among many other functions.
The most innovative part of this BRS alert is that it adapts to current times, therefore a Coronavirus Alert function is integrated, this system gives the possibility of reporting symptoms, each of these reports accompanied by a positioning image, allowing to know the real location, provide information about the nearest places of assistance, in case of confirming positive generate the corresponding restrictions of people who must comply with the mandatory social preventive isolation. Older adults are the most vulnerable group to COVID-19, for this reason, during this quarantine the municipality will take care of being in permanent contact with them thanks to the app recently launched.
