International. Hanwha Techwin officially launched its new Wisenet 7 chipset, signifying its latest addition to the brand's family of image processors.
Wisenet 7 incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, advanced WDR and ultra high definition image quality.
AI-based analytics
"Latin America is recognized for being a region that adopts new technologies quickly and for being the first to implement next-generation analytics such as AI," said Jason de Souza, Sales Director for Latin America.
The motion detection of conventional models was based on the movement of pixels, causing frequent alarms of false events. With Wisenet7's AI-based object detection technology, cameras now recognize and classify object attributes, including people, faces, vehicles, and license plates. This drastically reduces false event alarms and leads to more efficient operations.
Cameras equipped with Wisenet7 P-series feature the BestShot feature, ensuring that only the most appropriate images of classified objects are sent to the back-end server and reducing bandwidth.
Improved analytics for the "new normal"
Many countries are already beginning to return to a "new normal," in which social distancing rules will inevitably have to remain, and this likely means that only a specific number of people will be able to be in a controlled area at any one time. For this Wisenet7 is prepared with improved analytics to provide maximum accuracy in people counting and heat map for capacity in establishments.
Enhanced Cyber Security
From the moment a Wisenet 7 device is connected to a network, various security filters prevent external agents from entering the camera's chipset or its internal memory.
Hanwha Techwin established its own device certificate issuance system to incorporate certificates into the product, not only in the progress of development, but also in that of manufacturing.
WDR
Dynamic range has been maximized to reduce noise by composing the multiple frames shot at variable exposures. The newly adopted scene analysis technology helps the camera produce an optimized WDR image, capable of capturing ultra-high-definition images even in scenes that contain a challenging mix of bright and dark areas.
Improved low-light performance
Wisenet7 analyzes and filters data from moving objects in low-light environments, using a new adaptive noise algorithm to significantly reduce sensor noise. These clearer images improve results for low-light object recognition performance.
Forensic searches by attributes
Metadata that includes attribute information, whether in the case of people, colors or top/bottom clothing and glasses, as well as brand and color for vehicles, significantly reduces the search time of the entire video.
Improved lens distortion correction
Wisenet7 corrects distortion caused by wide-angle lenses. This offers video quality that more clearly represents how humans see across a wide field of view.
