United States. ASIS International announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic it has been analyzing and exploring the options for the development of its event, the Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2020, which will take place from September 21 to 23 in Atlanta.
In a letter signed by Godfried Hendriks, President of ASIS International, and Peter J. O'Neil, CEO, explains: "At this stage, we are evaluating our means to safely accommodate attendees at the Georgia World Congress Center in accordance with health and safety recommendations, and our means to move the event, in part or in full, to a virtual environment that offers the same: high-quality content, instructors, and dynamic interaction you expect from our GSX in-person meetings."
Organizers explain that now the plan is to confirm whether GSX 2020 will take place live before June 22. "We believe this will provide our attendees and exhibitors with the notice they need to make the necessary arrangements for their participation. We will deliver an update on the status of GSX 2020 no later than June 22. We, the ASIS International Global Board of Directors and the Headquarters Team, appreciate your understanding in making the right decision for our attendees, speakers, staff, exhibitors and other stakeholders."
We will be aware of the news that the ASIS event will have for this year.
