Mexico. Reed Exhibitions Mexico announced that Infosecurity Mexico, previously scheduled on May 20 and 21, will now be held on September 22 and 23, 2020 at Centro Citibanamex; this is due to the escalation that the COVID-19 crisis has had in Mexico and the world.
The announcement was made after extensive consultation with relevant industry stakeholders, and is aligned with recommendations issued by Mexican public health authorities regarding travel to and from affected countries, as well as restrictions for events that bring together more than a hundred people.
In this regard, Juan Manuel Rodríguez, director of the event, mentioned "Our feelings are with those affected by COVID-19. Our priority is to safeguard the health and safety of all those who are part of the event. We are confident that no matter the date change, the event will meet the highest standards our visitors expect and we will continue to provide an industry-relevant service."
He added that "now more than ever, cybersecurity challenges have increased due to the large amount of remote work (home office), we need to continue offering business, networking, collaboration and education, creating ways for our community to connect: we must keep the industry moving forward during this difficult period."
"On behalf of Reed Exhibitions, I express my sincere thanks to all exhibitors, partners, attendees, suppliers, media and staff, for their support and messages during this complicated stage; we look forward to welcoming the cybersecurity and IT community to Mexico City in September," Rodriguez concluded.
