International. Altronix introduces its new Tango1B PoE-powered power supply/charger, which is backed by lithium iron phosphate battery.
This power solution significantly reduces the overall costs for implementing access control and security devices by eliminating the need for a licensed electrician. The 12 V DC or 24 V DC devices can be powered simultaneously via the 802.3bt PoE input, providing huge savings.
"Our new Tango series further capitalizes on the inherent benefits of using PoE to efficiently power access control and further reduce the overhead associated with implementing conventional access control," said Alan Forman, president of Altronix Corporation. "With Tango, a technician can have a cost-effective access or security system in seconds."
Tango1B works with any 802.3bt 4PPoE power supply (such as Altronix NetWay BT Series Midspan/Injectors), taking advantage of the new IEEE standard to supply 12VDC and 24VDC simultaneously. With 75W available, the flexibility to power a complete 8-door access control system with 4PPoE is a reality.
This includes powering access control panels, locks, readers, and auxiliary devices, while providing a battery charging circuit with a single Cat5E cable or higher. Tango is uniquely designed to be stacked with access power controllers and compatible Altronix distribution boards, using a single footprint.
