International. Milestone launches a new interactive tool that allows video surveillance systems over IP to be much easier to install, configure and maintain.
Having access to an overview of best practices for installing and deploying reliable and scalable video solutions requires proper guidance and a strong track record. Project documentation can be scarce and transfer between different technicians can be challenging.
While Milestone offers a large volume of help resources through manuals, white papers, and online training courses, among others, this information is less overwhelming when presented in context and at your fingertips.
How does the Milestone Deployment Wizard work?
The tool is based on the Milestone Deployment Best Practice Guide, which is 180 pages long and can be found on the Milestone content portal. With it you will have access to the following:
•A list of tasks and steps that guide you through the sequential process of deploying an XProtect system.
•An interactive checklist to keep easy track of who took each step and when.
•Detailed guidance on each step, reviewed by Milestone's solution and support engineers, who have years of experience.
•The possibility, for project managers, to add detailed notes on how to set up a certain project, and the possibility, for technicians, to add notes on how each step was implemented.
• Efficient transfers of projects from one technician to another and the possibility of managing more than one project at a time.
Upon completion of the project, the checklist can be printed and presented to the client for final review and approval.
