Latin America. In order to achieve a more efficient control, SoftGuard announced new functionalities to the VigiControl application, which allows online monitoring of the rounds of guards and watchmen.
The first technological novelty highlighted is the possibility of delimiting control checkpoints by means of geofences. Thanks to this new feature, the system will be able to detect the presence of the guard and report his arrival or departure automatically without the need for him to interact with the smartphone or press a button.
Another interesting new functionality is the application of restrictions so that two or more VigiControl devices cannot approach each other until a certain distance. If this rule is breached, the system automatically generates an alarm event indicating that two guards have come closer than allowed.
On the other hand, with the option of distance control without movement, VigiControl will recognize if the device is not in motion for a previously set time and, then, will generate an alarm event indicating the lack of activity of the guard.
Finally, with the new push notification feature, the user guard will receive a push message when they are about to start their round or when a checkpoint is about to expire. In this way, the watchman will know when to start his round or what is the next place to go.
