United States. At ISC West 2019, Hanwha Techwin America, introduced version 4.0 of its Wisenet WAVE VMS solution along with new features and functions on various wisenet camera lines. Focusing on ease of installation, the new highly modular Wisenet X Plus series cameras. Attendees will also be able to see the new affordable 5MP Q-series cameras and the latest XRN/QRN NVRs that support instant setup of mobile phone monitoring via QR codes.
Wisenet WAVE 4.0
The Wisenet WAVE VMS has undergone significant development since its introduction last year. Designed to support the advanced features and on-board analytics that are unique to Hanwha cameras, it is ideal to meet the needs of customers looking for end-to-end video surveillance solutions at reasonable, easy-to-use prices. Version 4 adds support for Q-series NVRs with integrated PoE, enhanced PTZ support and functionality on NVRs and SPE encoders, additional in-camera analytical features including queue management, crash detection, and temperature change detection (for thermal cameras), as well as sound classification and descriptive alerts for events such as explosions, glass breaking, shooting and screaming. System scalability has been improved to support more servers, devices, and users. In addition, a new metadata SDK enables the rapid integration of object metadata (coordinates, tags) generated by third-party computer vision applications. This allows for the integration of various functions, including the ability to overlay bounding boxes and object paths within video tiles, as well as integrate custom actions and events.
Wisenet X Plus Series
With a focus on modular design, the Wisenet X Plus series is one of the easiest cameras to install, repair and upgrade, saving installers time and money. X Series Plus cameras use magnets to lock the sensor modules in the housing for instant setup. Electricians can install ductwork with a single PoE connection to the housing or backplate, without the camera module, allowing security professionals to put the camera in place once the job site is clean in just a few minutes. X Plus cameras feature extended temperature handling, higher tilt angle, removable color skins, and PTRZ (pan, mosaic, rotation, zoom) for maximum flexibility. Pre-recorded audio messages and warnings can be triggered by in-camera scanning and played back directly from the cameras. X Plus series cameras will be shipped to ISC West.
5MP Q Series
The Q-series camera lineup has been enhanced with a resolution of 5MP up to 30fps, representing a very affordable entry price without sacrificing essential features and performance. For ease of installation, a built-in CVBS output allows installers to connect a portable analog monitor directly by making precise adjustments to the camera's location. The Q-series cameras, with true WDR and motorized varifocal lenses, also support H.265 and WiseStream II compression technology, keeping bandwidth and storage requirements to a minimum.
XRN / QRN NVRs
Enhancements to XRN and QRN NVR include a new smart search feature. Easy remote monitoring access via the mobile app is instantly configured by scanning QR codes without the need to configure DNS settings or port forwarding. XRN and QRN NVRs support H.265 recording for more efficient media storage with certain models. Built-in PoE/PoE+ ports negate the need for a dedicated PoE switch.
