Mexico. Infosecurity Mexico 2019, an event on knowledge, trends and solutions for computer data protection, announced that its next edition will take place on May 22 and 23 at Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City.
Infosecurity Mexico was launched in 2016 as the meeting that promotes and provides the tools to develop greater business awareness of information security. Since then, it has steadily evolved with more companies, associations, experts, government representatives and academics joining the project to share ideas and best practices on the subject.
"Mexico has become a latent target for cyberattacks, especially in the face of security breaches that are increasingly visible; a clear example was the incidents that occurred at spei in 2018," says Philippe Surman, Country Manager of Reed Exhibitions Mexico, the organizer of the event.
According to the company PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) there are 37 million netizens and e-commerce users, a situation that forces companies and individuals to pay more attention to information security. According to the consultancy, in Mexico 78.6% of companies have suffered an information security incident in a year[1].
This year Infosecurity Mexico will bring international specialists such as Marc Goodman, collaborator of the US, NATO and UN government who will focus his presentation with a global perspective of the cybersecurity situation; Eddie Doyle, Global Security Strategist at Check Point, a company dedicated to the development of technological tools to combat cybercrime; and Adrián Acosta, Digital Crime Officer at Interpol; they are joined by eight speakers with extensive experience in the world of cybersecurity who will share their knowledge and experiences.
In addition, the fair will feature the participation as a keynote speaker of Garry Kasparov, sponsored by the company Avast, recognized for being a Chess Champion, Russian politician and writer, in addition to having one of the highest IQ's in the world, who will share his future perspective on cybersecurity.
The Infosecurity Summit attendee will be able to earn CPE points (Continuing Training Credits) to add to their ongoing training.
