Latin America. Hikvision has just added a 32 MP UHD panoramic camera to its already renowned PanoVu line of cameras.
The new DS-2CD6984G0-IH(S)(AC) 32 MP panoramic dome type camera of the PanoVu series has four 1/2" Progressive Scan CMOS sensors that offer a true horizontal panorama of 180 degrees, in addition to a vertical field of view of 95 degrees. The camera intelligently combines the four video images generating a new unique panoramic image perfectly composed.
Frank Zhang, Managing Director of Hikvision's International Product Marketing Department says: "We are very excited to add this advanced high-definition camera to the award-winning PanoVu family. Organizations with large outdoor areas are continually looking for innovative ways to monitor and protect their facilities. Our 32 MP camera offers them some of the most remarkable HD monitoring features with panoramic views that they can find on the market."
Impressive resolution in high definition
This camera offers an impressive maximum resolution in HD of 8160 × 3616 pixels. Its 32 MP image resolution at 30 fps ensures smooth playback and preview of video images.
HD clarity, even at night
Designed for high low-light performance, the DS-2CD6984G0-IH(S)(AC) incorporates four infrared LEDs, providing high-definition images continuously in low-light environments and even in 0 lux conditions.
Multiple display modes
The camera also features a range of display modes to meet user needs. In addition to the standard 32 MP panoramic view, users can choose panoramic images in 8 MP resolution for use in a network video recorder. This camera also offers four independent images in 8 MP on each lens, or four images in split panoramic view.
The ideal surveillance solution for large spaces
Thanks to its wide field of view, the DS-2CD6984G0-IH(S)(AC) is ideal for large, open areas such as stadiums, squares, entertainment venues and industrial facilities. A single camera is capable of covering an area that previously required multiple cameras, thus reducing IP channels. This also makes it easy to install and configure, making it faster and potentially more cost-effective.
