IDIS Smart Factory wins national productivity competition

International. The largest manufacturer of security technology in the country of South Korea, was awarded the presidential mention of the "National Productivity Award" in the country's 42nd National Productivity Contest, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy of South Korea.

The National Productivity Award competition, led by the Korea Productivity Center at COEX, Seoul, awards government recognition to corporations, organizations, and individuals who have demonstrated leadership in applying productivity to achieve successful and documented business outcomes.

The award and mention recognized IDIS for its custom-designed IDIS Smart Factory, specifically designed to meet business requirements and features seamlessly. IDIS Smart Factory, which assembles the various components of IDIS Total Solution that is sold and installed worldwide, operates with a flexible production system, which uses a large database to modularize and refine production processes to ideally meet the requirements of the company.

Every process in IDIS Smart Factory is computerized, from material storage to management, production, performance testing and even packaging, resulting in increased productivity. In addition, real-time production planning, defect cause analysis and tracking could be achieved by breaking down process histories.

With the computerization of automatic processes in IDIS Smart Factory, when a certain product is missing materials or does not pass a functionality test, it does not go to the next stage. This helps block any potential defects, improving customer satisfaction by improving quality and creating products that can be massively customized.

As a result, IDIS observed an increase in productivity, with less inefficiency, which allowed it to stay focused on innovation and continuous improvement of the customer experience.

The National Productivity Award further emphasized IDIS' innovative technology across the globe, highlighting the company's overall value in the global security and surveillance market.

"It is gratifying to see IDIS Smart Factory, which has taken years of effort for what has been built, receive this award," said IDIS CEO Y. D. Kim. "Recognized as a leader in Korea's 4th Industrial Revolution, IDIS will continue to strive to be the best global video surveillance manufacturer, deepening our impact on the industry through our advancements in the application of Artificial Intelligence to our technology solutions."
