Colombia. During the most recent edition of SmartCity Medellin, the Rionegro Municipality announced that it has put together a collaborative safety net in response to the insecurity of its citizens.
It is a program through which they will provide the inhabitants with the Global APP "Rionegro Seguro" developed with the SmartPanics engine, so that they can notify georeferenced emergencies from their smartphone, that is, with the exact location of the fact, being able to adhere photos, audio, text and video clips.
SmartPanics, is the application developed by SoftGuard, which is revolutionizing the security market, by incorporating human monitoring. Since from the APP it is possible to send alarm events directly to the monitoring center, it also has multiple functions for security control such as vehicle tracking, creation of geofences, access to cameras, etc.
This program will allow the municipality to give more effective responses in the shortest possible time, making Rionegro a "smartcity" with technological development in the area of security, where the inhabitants will feel more protected and will be a collaborative part of the prevention and alert process.
