Colombia. The International Security Fair, E+S+S, which was held from August 22 to 24 at the Gran Salón de Corferias in Bogotá, received 12,000 professional visitors who accessed the best technology show in the sector, thanks to the participation of more than 200 exhibitors, direct and 250 brands represented, with innovations from 16 countries and the development of a very wide academic agenda with the participation of the sector's guilds, Academia and industry.
Patricia Acosta, director of the fair, pointed out that the fair in 2018 had a growth of 25%, with a new pavilion; shows the strengthening of the fair and its positioning as a HUB of the sector in Latin America, so the quality of the leading global exhibitors and their commitment to the market broke schemes and left a very high bar, the 12,000 professional visitors met their expectations in business and solutions, the technological and commercial exhibition of world class allowed the brands to shine with their launches for the region. Our academic structure broke records, 5 trade union forums and 90 technical commercial conferences, gathered a total of 2700 attendees to the academic program, which also had the presence of 133 speakers "undoubtedly total success," he said.
Laura Escobar, general manager of Gsp Global Security Protection, said: "I faithfully believe that the fair exponentially increases the positioning of the company in the market. Every year we have a cut in September after the fair, we arrive with more solutions, the factories support us. We feel that the company is positioned by participating in the fair."
Martín Otazua Rozo, Marketing Specialist of Dahua Technology Colombia S.A.S., revealed: "We attended approximately 2,000 people during the fair with whom we hope to close projects with the Government, banking and finance, oil companies and some independent and private institutions."
Hugo Torres, executive director of ANRACI Colombia, said: "Our balance at the fair is satisfactory. The first fire protection show was one of the busiest in this edition; in the same way, the commercial exhibition stood out for publicizing cutting-edge technologies for the country and the region".
He added that the first Side By Side test carried out in Colombia during the fair was a total success. The main objective with this was to raise awareness among the community about the importance of protecting their homes and companies. "We have demonstrated the effectiveness and speed of fire protection systems, which save thousands of human lives. In addition, there was the participation of 200 attendees who could enjoy an exchange of knowledge with 12 international and 8 national speakers.
Juan Fernando Villegas, manager of Aerodrones.com, said: "We did a good job with industrial sectors interested in our products with forecasts for the mining, agricultural, military, metalworking industry, among others. We achieve these expectations according to the solutions and support that remotely manned aircraft technology is providing in Colombia."
Adriana Marcucci, seagate's manager for Colombia, highlighted: "We had a positive balance by having the opportunity to contact and meet with the main integrators of the country's video surveillance sector and present the new portfolio of the Skyhawk series."
Juan Narváez, director of T & I audio, said: "We opened very strong distribution channels with the purpose of continuing to innovate and thus be able to show more of what now characterizes us as a company. Throughout the stage of the fair we contacted 30 new potential customers who liked our IP speaker systems and the audio evacuation system, so they are willing to start working with us."
Catalina Rodríguez, marketing manager for HikVision Colombia, said: "We found an excellent opportunity to present the brand, products and new technologies we always have. We had very profitable clients and very important meetings in which we showed technologies that people did not know we had. We expanded our product range towards more complete security systems."
Finally, Alejandro Valderrama, general manager of Abbloy Colombia, indicated that "in this fair business opportunities were opened and consolidated. Visitors were interested in demoing concepts and new technologies in unconventional access controls."
