Latin America. Hikvision has just launched the new update of Hik-Connect, the APP that works with Hikvision DVRs, NVRs and IP Cameras, which has the P2P function of connection to the cloud to access video surveillance devices in a more efficient way.
Hik-Connect is a platform that came to change the P2P connection for its easier way to interact with the configuration and control of Hikvision devices, obtaining video remotely through the APP or from the IVMS4200 software, a platform that is dedicated to the administration of Hikvision products without the need to create an account previously.
Features of Hik-Connect
- Supports adding devices through Cloud P2P without registration.
- It allows you to share devices with others by scanning your QR code in visitor mode.
- Supports changing user type from visitor to official user when registering via email address or phone number.
- Supports manual device unlinking from your current account via the app
- Let manually configure the alarm output of the NVR or DVR after the device was added using the Hik-Connect domain.
- Adds new alarm types, including illegal login, capture/recording exception, hot spare exception, accessory card exception, and SHM HDD detection exception.
- Supports display of the status of multiple HDDs on an NVR or DVR.
Hik-Connect allows you to share access to a computer by giving the main account the privileges to control who accesses your cameras with high security through QR code scanning (Quick Response Code) easily and efficiently, improving the transmission speed, the performance to obtain the video streams, as well as the reception of registration SMS. Additionally, it allows to activate or deactivate the reception of notifications related to alarm information (iOS) and reduces the time to enter the live view page from the floating window (iOS).
