Latin America. Airports must meet certain requirements to ensure the protection of passengers, staff and property.
Bosch contributes by offering integrated solutions in airport security; In Germany alone, more than 180 million passengers a year benefit from the company's security technologies. In addition, Bern Regional Airport in Switzerland is benefiting from Bosch products and solutions that are also installed by its own specialists.
PAVIRO public address and voice evacuation system
Every year, this airport is used by around 185,000 business travelers and tourists. A reliable and good quality public address system is essential to be able to make boarding and passenger calls, warnings, general announcements, etc. quickly and understandably. Recently, Bosch experts developed a new network solution for the airport terminal based on PAVIRO's public address and voice evacuation system, which fully met customer specifications and stood out for its extraordinary reliability, ease of use, sound reproduction and comprehensibility, making it ideal for meeting the rigorous requirements of airports. Currently, the system is used throughout the Bern Airport terminal and within specific areas.
Seamless implementation of airport operation
Bosch construction experts handled the entire implementation, from planning and installation to testing of the new PAVIRO system. Mario Glauser, the person in charge of technical infrastructure and projects at Bern Airport, was pleased and commented: "The new solution allows us to communicate better with passengers and provide greater security, while at the same time we are meeting future requirements."
Among other things, the airport can now respond more quickly and easily to emergency situations. Automatic warnings and announcements to reassure passengers are useful to defuse tense situations. Bern Airport managers are very pleased with the benefits and features of the system, as well as because all the planning and installation work was done by a single supplier. "Technicians installed the system while the airport continued to operate normally," Glauser adds. "Everything went smoothly and smoothly for the passengers."
"The new solution allows us to communicate even better with passengers and provide greater safety, while reliably meeting future requirements."
