International. Building on the success of the past eight years, Mission 500 is once again urging ISC West attendees to sign up for this year's 5K/2K safety run/walk (www.security5k.com). The event will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., on Thursday, April 12, with proceeds from fundraising to help children in need across the United States.
"The Mission 500 Security 5K/2K has been a mainstay at ISC West since 2010, and we are grateful for the support we have received since the inaugural event," said Jeff Eichenlaub, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Mission 500. "The security industry has truly joined this significant cause, giving participants the opportunity to raise money for children in need across the U.S. while having fun in the process."
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the races in various categories, as well as those who raise the most funds. Participants who raise $500 will automatically enroll in the 500 Club. As an added incentive, new 500 Club members will receive a sleek, high-capacity portable battery to charge phones, tablets, and most USB devices. The top fundraiser will have the opportunity to join Mission 500 (with a friend!) On the next security service trip to Puerto Rico (all expenses paid). The company team that generates the most money will also be given the opportunity to send two staff members on the Service Trip.
The Mission 500 5K/2K Security Reception and Corporate Social Responsibility and Humanitarian Awards Ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 on the SSN Media stage, located on the second floor of the Sands Convention Center. In addition to recognizing top fundraisers, the awards ceremony will highlight mission 500's accomplishments and set the stage for even bigger things to come. Organizing sponsors and the Mission 500 organization will also present awards to runners in different age categories and to top runners.
