Comstor announces new strategy and more benefits for its distribution channel

Mexico. Comstor, a SYNNEX Corporation company operating in North and Latin America and focusing on security, collaboration, networking and data center, announces new strategy and more benefits for its NetApp distribution pipeline in Mexico.

José de la Luz Martínez, NetApp Product Manager at Comstor, says: "We are excited to strengthen our market offering with NetApp solutions, which are not only seen as data management and storage, but also allow us to improve and protect end-user information in any technology environment. Doing synergy with NetApp leverages us in our business to continue growth in Mexico."

Comstor and NetApp operate with a closed channel because it is the best tactic to attack and satisfy the domestic market. They currently have 45 channels, and will start a 20% debugging and then add the same percentage with distribution channels that are really committed to the brand. "We are pleased to have unique and identified partners who know the end user and give real value to their business."

De la Luz says that this new way comstor operates with NetApp provides real value to the channel and to the competition. Among the new that Comstor offers its Partners since the 1st. August is:

Rebate (return or refund). An additional payment will be granted for what is sold in new accounts for NetApp that will be from 3% and up to 8%. The brand makes money and will give them one more sum for the solutions placed on the market. This operation is carried out in the US and now in Latin America.

Certifications with free Technical and Commercial accreditation. It will be free of charge both sales and technical certifications, before the exam cost USD $ 150 dollars and the one-week course $ 2,500 dollars.

Demand generation. Greater impetus will be given to the activities to work hand in hand with the channels in generating more demand, both to close sale with short- and long-term businesses.

The alliance between Comstor and NetApp was made 3 years ago, currently they market the entire portfolio of solutions in the Mexican market. "Because NetApp is not only data storage solutions, but their vision is to improve and protect end-user information, we are working very well with Cisco, Veritas, Veem, Conmvault, Gemalto and Eaton on information management," says De la Luz.

For example, Comstor joined forces with Cisco and NetApp for the sale of the FlexPod solution that is specifically designed to assist enterprises in transforming their data centers. This pre-validated solution is based on a shared, flexible and scalable infrastructure that allows optimizing a wide variety of mixed workload applications and technological environments. In this way, the sale of consultative or convergent solutions is given.

De la Luz comments: "Our solutions are placed in medium and large corporations, mainly in government (70%) and in financial institutions (30%) because they require a very reliable and accessible architecture. The end user requires secure, reliable solutions, whether in the Cloud, on-site, managed or virtualized."

In this way Comstor enriches its offer of administration, storage and management of more complete information in the Mexican market through its exclusive and identified distribution channels that offer value to the end user.
