International. The ability to detect incidents in order to maintain smooth traffic is made possible by Sprinx Technologies' Automatic Incident Detection and Traffic Data Collection (AID) application, which is integrated and can be run on all Hanwha Techwin Wisenet X cameras.
AID solutions use intelligent image processing to quickly warn operators about incidents and traffic holds, while at the same time recording statistical data such as vehicle classification, counting and flow. A special feature called the origin-destination matrix (OD) highlights traffic conditions at intersections and urban roundabouts, with simultaneous monitoring of different lanes. It can also detect drivers driving on prohibited roads as well as the presence of smoke in tunnels.
Technological leadership
"One of the most important ways we are committed to making the phrase 'WE MOVE with confidence' a reality is by working with technology partners like Sprinx Technologies, who, like Hanwha Techwin, are market leaders in their respective fields," said Tim Biddulph, Head of Products and Solutions at Hanwha Techwin Europe.
"In Europe, we are increasingly entrusted with the provision of video surveillance solutions for a wide variety of critical infrastructure projects, including monitoring tunnel activity. Our partnership with Sprinx Technologies is the foundation of our ability to provide world-class solutions, with applications that are easy to deploy and use. This is another great example of how we capitalize on the open platform features of Wisenet cameras to deliver video surveillance solutions that deliver practical benefits for the real lives of our customers," said Bob (H.Y.).
Wisenet X Range
Wisenet X cameras are equipped with an all-new architecture chipset that delivers far superior performance with twice the speed of video processing compared to high-definition cameras and three times the memory capacity to handle superior video and audio analytics.
Key Features for Traffic Monitoring
The Wisenet X series offers a 150 dB WDR, which makes use of 4 frames of image to create more natural images without blurs. It also has an advanced lens technology that allows the reproduction of images with very vivid colors captured in environments with low lighting and without the support of IR LED lights. The XNB-8000 and XNB-6000 also feature gyroscopic sensors that provide much more precise stabilization to compensate for wind or vibration.
The 2 MP and 5 MP models are at the core of Hanwha Techwin's formidable range of cameras that collectively provide economical yet high-performance options for virtually any video surveillance project, including critical infrastructure applications.
The range also includes the Premium Wisenet P cameras, which offer 4K (12 MP) quality images, and the Wisenet Q cameras, a basic range of 2 and 4 MP with superb image quality. Wisenet HD+ analog cameras deliver 1080p Full HD images without changing the coaxial cabling infrastructure.
