SOC 2 Type II certification was obtained by GM Security Technologies

International. The SOC 2 type II certification is only granted to service organizations, particularly in the areas of Technology and Cloud Computing, which demonstrate having implemented the most rigorous security controls and monitoring best practices, designed to effectively protect information systems against inappropriate use and access or modification, without proper authorization.

GM Security Technologies, recognized for its high standards of Security, Availability and Confidentiality, "achieves SOC 2 type II certification as a result of a rigorous audit exercise, certainly another mechanism to demonstrate commitment to our customers, to whom we guarantee the continuity of our offers of managed security services in a framework of 24x7x365", says Jesús Cortina, General Manager of GM Security Technologies.

"We manage security for all types of entities that they can use – from the largest and most complex infrastructures, to the simplest and smallest – serving companies around the planet and following the best practices in the market." This designation represents an independent validation and verification of our internal security controls; effective supervision; and corporate governance and operation of GM Security Technologies' service organization.  Undoubtedly, it provides additional and reliable recognition within the Security Industry, as well as a competitive advantage, which in addition to reducing the overall risks of the operation, increases the confidence of our customers and stakeholders, regardless of their size.

"A team of more than 15 people were involved in this initiative; in which 86 internal security controls based on best practices and implemented according to the information security policies established to ensure effective coverage of the 7 main areas of the framework used by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) were tested". This recognition validates compliance with the standards required by service organization controls (SOC) 2 Type II, which are Organization & Mgmt; involving areas of control, communication, risk, monitoring, access, operations, and change management.

For objectivity purposes, SOC 2 Type II audits can only be performed by an independent Certified Public Accountants (CPA) firm that meets the strict auditing requirements established by the AICPA.

As security breaches increase, they accelerate and become more complex and difficult to mitigate; it is essential to implement the strictest controls to protect the data of our customers; and this is the testament to meeting and exceeding industry standards of service excellence with consulting solutions, managed services and technology integration for a company's holistic security, concludes Cortina.

This SOC 2 certification adds to the list of world-class certifications that GM Security Technologies has obtained so far, such as: CSAA Certified, PCI Qualified Security Assessor, PCI Approved Scanning Vendor, UL Listed, and FIRST.
