Mexico. Due to the rise of the dollar, electrical protection equipment such as UPS, No Brakes and regulators made in Mexico will gain ground against imports, as they offer the channel a profit margin of up to 40% for its commercialization, said Jesús Mezquita, director of Key Accounts of Complet.
This Mexican company manufacturer of electrical protection products will begin this year to export regulators and suppressors of voltage peaks to central American countries, in a first stage, said the executive. In addition, he added that his equipment generates savings for companies and home users of up to 8.0 percent in energy consumption.
He said in an interview that last year they registered a 30 percent growth in sales thanks to new business divisions, such as UPSs for large cloud servers. He stressed that although electrical protection has increased in Mexico, there is still a market, because most small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) do not have the culture of protecting their servers or computers from risks derived from voltage variations.
In the rainy season, he said, the demand for regulators and No Brakes that protect computers and flat televisions, among others, increases up to 50 percent, however it is still a low level of penetration of these equipment in Mexico so we are continuously training our channel to generate more business in new regions of the country, explained the executive.
Complet manufactures this equipment with international quality standards and has ISO 9000, so it is recognized as one of the best in the country in terms of the quality of its devices, mezquita said.
Finally, the executive warned that losing a computer for electricity reasons has a high cost for companies, so it is necessary that from large companies to small businesses know what to do in these cases.
