Latin America. Tyco Security Products introduces the integration of Advanced EyeLock nano NXT dual-iris authentication technology with Software House's C•CURE 9000 security and event management solution.
Ideal for use in commercial and government environments, EyeLock nano NXT® uses video, rather than static images, to capture images of the eye at a rate of 20 frames per second. EyeLock's technology converts the unique characteristics of each iris into an encrypted code, providing a high level of security with a false acceptance rate (FAR) of 1 in 1.5 million for a single eye. The biometric identifier can authenticate up to 20 people per minute, on the move and at a distance of 30 cm (12 in).
"Tyco Security Products continues to expand its biometric integration portfolio and offers its customers the most accurate and innovative technologies on the market," says Luis Delcampo, Product and Marketing Manager of Tyco Security Products' Access Control line for Latin America. "The ability to use EyeLock nano NXT with C•CURE 9000 presents more options for end users to create a highly secure access control solution."
EyeLock nano NXT can be deployed on the C•CURE 9000 platform and can be used as part of a two-factor authentication process. Measuring just 20 cm (8 in) by 13 cm (5 in), this compact reader features an integrated memory of up to 20,000 unique users.
EyeLock nano NXT also includes anti-tamper detection and an online configuration tool. It can be customized using an optional SDK.
